RKW have been working with this renowned teaching hospital to develop its future estates strategy for the next 20 years across 2 complex, urban, historic sites in the centre of London. It is anticipated that the porject will involve complex clinical services swaps across hospital sites and moves out to primary care settings. The project also includes integrated developments with Kings College London and research establishments and collaboration with private sector developers. Key components of the project will include a Cancer Centre for the South East Cancer Network and developments in Ambulatory Care. A major challenge is to identify opportunities to improve patient environments - especially in inpatient accommodation - in the context of an ageing estate developed in the 1970's.
