RKW are currently working on this research study, funded by DoH and NPSA with York Health Economic Consortium. The study is focused on establishing the evidence base underpinning key design choices; single rooms, operating theatre lay-outs, anaesthetic rooms etc, and assessing the impact on operating and capital costs. As part of the exercise RKW has interviewed key stakeholders and project teams across a number of the larger PFI schemes in the UK, including some operational hospitals and others still at the planning stage.
