RKW developed a tool to assess the capacity and financial implications in managing the delivery of waiting time targets on an HRG basis across all Welsh NHS Trusts. This toolkit enables activity to be modelled and monitored at HRG level by the Trust and can accommodate changes in future activity projection as well as changes in interim waiting time targets and performance. This model represented a key tool in the allocation of resources across Wales to achieve the long term waiting list and overall waiting time target reductions.
